July always feels like the point where summer is in full swing, but our attention starts drifting toward what's next. Before we know it, the holidays will be here, school breaks will be filling up, and those "we should really start planning that trip" conversations will start happening around the dinner table.

Hawaii: Beyond the Cruise
Hawaii seems to find its way onto almost everyone's travel wish list, and for good reason.
One of my favorite ways to experience the islands is with a Hawaiian cruise, especially when you pair it with a few extra days on Oahu before setting sail. A pre-cruise stay gives you time to settle into island life, explore Waikiki, visit Pearl Harbor, enjoy the North Shore, and maybe even find your favorite shave ice spot before boarding the ship.
Many cruisetour packages make the process easy by including hotel accommodations, transfers, and luggage handling, so you can focus on enjoying the experience instead of worrying about logistics.
And once you're sailing, don't overlook the shore excursions. Some of the most memorable moments happen off the ship. Whether that's snorkeling with sea turtles, exploring volcanic landscapes, learning about Hawaiian culture, or discovering a hidden local favorite, the right excursion can completely transform your experience.
The goal isn't just to see Hawaii. It's to experience it.

I explored resorts, revisited all four theme parks, sampled plenty of food and beverage offerings, and yes, enjoyed a Mickey Bar along the way. While it may look like all fun and games from the outside, these experiences help me stay current so I can better guide clients toward the destinations, resorts, and experiences that fit them best.
